We have not had any roach problems in the Audiovisual Resource Center but
our sister department, Section for the Blind and Physically Handicapped,
often has problems with equipment and materials being returned which are
roach infested. Sometimes, generally with equipment, we can spray.
However, things are often trashed.

Because these patrons are blind, it is hard for us to hold them
accountable. We have had instances where nursing homes have returned roach
infested equipment and materials to us. In these cases, the nursing home
is contacted and warned about the problem.
