I am new to videolib (and video librarianship), so I wasn't sure if
anyone had mentioned this already. I recently saw a short article
"Crisis in Archival Video" (Library of Congress Information Bulletin,
vol. 56, no. 16, p. 331) which announced the five volume
"Television/Video Study" which will soon be available as a government
document. Parts of the study are currently available over the Internet
at:
http://lcweb.loc.gov/film/tv.html
The article nicely summarizes some of the study's findings and possible
outcomes.
Best wishes,
