A faculty member has requested the Film & History CD-ROM. Have any
videolibbers purchased this product? At $500, I'd like as much
information in advance before pursuing any further.

Many thanks,

Kim

--information from CD-ROM producer, Film and History--

TWENTY-SIX YEARS OF FILM & HISTORY ON CD-ROM!

The journal FILM & HISTORY has been in publication for the last twenty-six
(26) years, exploring how Hollywood and European filmmakers have portrayed
history--and reporting the accuracy and inaccuracy of these filmic
studies.

The journal was begun in 1970 by the Historians Film Committee of the
American Historical Association and the journal is an offshoot of the
sincere interest by cultural studies professionals to assess the impact of
film on our times.

This CD-ROM will contain all of the articles ever published in Film &
History from its inception to Volume 26. The ENTIRE COLLECTION will be
"Key Word" searchable, a marvelous opportunity for scholars. Cost is
$500 and this acquisition will be a wonderful backup for libraries which
have the journal or an economical and space- saving base for libraries
wishing to begin a subscription.
