Simon Hart:
The media section of Booklist, the major reviewing journal of the
American Library Association, has been reviewing CD-ROMs for more
than five year.
Reviews in Booklist's Media section appear monthly. We recommend
early learning titles and K-12 curriculum-related subjects for school
districts and building-level collections; we also review general interest
titles (resume kits, home projects, cookery, etc.) for public library
collections.
In addition the Reference Books Bulletin section of Booklist regularly
includes lengthy evaluations of electronic reference sources.
All in all, Booklist provides across-the-board coverage of the format.
For collection development, Booklist has a relatively new publication
-CD-ROMs for Kids: Booklists Best Bets- that recommends more than 100
titles for ages 3-12.
