Re: the different formats of VCD's in China and the US - one of my
student workers is from China and had received a couple of VCD's from his
parents this summer. He has not reported any problems in playing them on
the newer computers here, although many of the older ones do not have
adequate memory to play a VCD. I actually have not seen the VCD's,
though.

I was not aware that the PAL/NTSC problems inherent in videotape would be
a problem in VCD's, too. Hopefully, someone can enlighten us.....
