Kris- a follow up to your faculty request for film sources re: folklore
on film.

The 1997 VideoHound's Golden Movie Retriever contains an excellent genre
index broken down into subcategories. Included is one for folklore,
although it tends to me the traditional stuff like Hercules, but also
some hilarious sub-indexes like for killer cars, and a horror index that
includes many urban folklore legends such as "The Severed Arm", under
Killer Beasts there's an entry for "Big Foot",etc.

I like this source alot, it's worth buying if you don't have it in your
reference arsenal (ISBN 0-7876-0780-0, $19.95, Visible Ink).

Have fun-
