Re: CONTACT (grrrr)

OK...I trashed an earlier grumpy message before I hit the send message
("...now, Gary, calm down..."), but with the third or fourth impromptu
"review" of Contact showing up, I feel I must put in my managerial two
cents worth.

VIDEOLIB is intended to serve as a working tool for video librarians and
related media users/providers. One of the strongest features of the list
has been its focus on specific issues and problems, and its lack of the
usual banter and trivia which often show up on other lists. While I
definitely appreciate enthusiasm for specific Hollywood films, I believe
that the expression of this enthusiasm (without solicitation) does not
belong on this list. Since I'm simply the technical manager of this list
(I don't own it by any means), I'd be more than glad to shut up and sit
down if the majority of other subscribers want to spin the list into this
particular direction. As a single voice on the list, I certainly would
find it rather terrible to lose our focus...

What d'ya think?
