Dear Librarians~

I wish to thank all of you who helped me out with my research
project by sending stories of how and why you became librarians. I have
heard from men and women from all over the U.S. and a few other countries
as well. The paths to our profession are many! The task of categorizing
and synthesizing all of these stories now begins. I regret that I can no
longer accept contributions for my project, since deadlines must be
observed, but I have enjoyed hearing from you, and feel that in some small
way, I have come to know you better.
Many of you expressed an interest in hearing about the ultimate
findings of my study. I will do my best to honor these requests. The
final paper will be submitted to the ERIC database for possible inclusion,
and I will investigate other ways of getting the information to interested
parties.
Thanks again for your kind support of my research. I couldn't
have done it without you!
