Regarding the public showing of feature films, mentioned by KINO. It
doesn't matter what Ingram told the purchaser. Most Librarians and their
directors know that if you want to show a film you have to get a license.
Most libraries that have regular film (video) programs get umbrella
licenses for their facilities from one or more companies such as Films
Incorporated or MPLC. You can't blame your vendor for your own ignorance
in this area. And, in fact, I doubt one could legally get away with it.
