An ALA/Video Round Table Preconference

Friday, June 27, 1997, 8:30 a.m. - 5:00 p.m.
Alumni House, University of California, Berkeley

Librarians responsible for building and managing video and multimedia
collections have many questions. Is VHS video on its way out? Where
does multimedia CD-ROM fit in? What about DVD? Just what is available
on the Internet? How do I find and access it? How will these
developments affect facilities planning for 2001 and beyond? This
preconference will bring together experts in a number of fields to help
us understand the issues and plan for the future.
