Dawn Mogle, Lake County Public Library, just sent me a nice article from
the Chicago Tribune on DVD ("Digital video discs' message is loud and
clear, but not without problems", by Richard Christiansen, 4/3/97, Sec.
5, p. 1). For the first time, I read that fingerprints interfere with
playback. DVD has been released in seven major cities, including Chicago.
Bloomington, Indiana, is not one of them. So if any of you have the
opportunity to try out DVD, please post something to videolib and let us
know what you learn.
