The National Media Market is the only international venue in the United
States where buyers of informational video and electronic media of special
interest to libraries and educational institutions can screen the newest and
best programming from 40 major producers and distributors. During the
four-day meeting, attendees view and make purchasing and preview decisions
from over 2,000 hours of programming during scheduled and on-demand viewings.
Preferred pricing and special discounts are part of distributor incentives
offered to attendees.
In a major enhancement to registration this year, attendees will receive
a coupon book with one $25.00 coupon from each distributor represented and
can then apply them toward purchases made as a result of the Market. In this
way, a large portion of the cost of attending the Market is returned in
product when coupons are redeemed from Market distributors.
Screenings will begin at 10:00 a.m. on Thursday, October 23rd and
continue through 11:30 p.m. on Sunday, October 26th. Workshops and field
trips are offered as part of the Market's professional development
