In response to Jay's question...

At ASU West, the Library acquires, catalogs, and loans media, mostly video
and CDs. (No 16mm, uh uh, not one!) The Library's Media Booking service
reserves use for specific titles on specific days.

All classrooms have a VCR and monitor so equipment does not need to
be delivered for routine uses. (Equipment use is supported by the
University's IT unit). As part of the booking service, if a request
requires equipment support - laserdiscs, 16mm rentals, etc. - the Media
Booking service automatically requests the equipment from IT (one stop
shopping).

All borrowers pick up and return their videos at the Library's Circulation
desk.

We also provide a number of bookings to the parent campus in Tempe.
(between 25 and 50% of our bookings), and to the libraries at NAU and
UofA. Those items are delivered via courier to circ units from which
they are loaned.

Hope this information helps.
