Technology and the movies

Hi Gang: this note gives me the opportunity to do two things:

One--a few months back, you'll recall my appeal for suggestions for
movies to use in connection with a course I'm going to be teaching on the
representation of technology in the movies... Thanks, all, for the cool
recommendations! I've pretty much made my cut and put together a syllabus.

Two--I want to take this opportunity to thank list users (and lurkers)
for making videolib and videonews such useful and fun resources over the
course of the last year. I'm constantly amazed and delighted by the breadth
and depth of knowledge available to us all through this cyberunion...I
look forward to communicating with you all more in the following year.
