I just arrived here at Ithaca College a couple of months ago, but
all the 5000+ videos in our collection are barcoded and there
never seems to have been any problem. In addition, I spent four
years at Fairfield University where we also slapped that magic
little tag right on the tapes, and never had any trouble. I can't
imagine why there's a need to worry -- the scanners don't work with
a magnetic field.
