Re Carol Webber's note re collection development: the one comment I can
offer is that the Freedom to View statement is really an access policy,
not a collection development policy--there's a subtle but important
difference between a collection development policy (which should,
among other things, define the scope and intent (and audience) of a
collection, and an access policy which defines the
library's stance on who may obtain access to the materials collected...
