We are a public library, so have somewhat different circumstances, perhaps.
We classify all our videos by Dewey. They are not interfiled with the books,
but are on separate, open shelves. We have tattle tape on the videos them-
selves, with no ill effect on the videos. Many of the videos have gone out
100-200 times, and are still rolling just fine. Loss rate from the open
shelves is no worse than for the books.
