Price Gouging or Good Business?

I've decided to enter the fray and mention similar experiences, most notably
with Direct Cinema. This company has a wonderful collection of titles that
would be excellent additions to any academic or public library. I don't
understand the business acumen that figures selling a few copies at $95.00
is better than selling hundreds at $29.95. I'm sure I'm missing one of the
finer points of marketing. I do know that whenever Randy Pittman gives a
4 or 5 star review to any video title, I'm never able to order it fast
enough and it's ALWAYS backordered. This leads me to believe that a lot of
us are paying attention and when we see a good thing at a good price, we
snap it up. Maybe we should be having this discussion on the other list
for the distributors or hopefully, they are eavesdropping on this one and
will maybe learn a thing or two?
