Several times in the past while answering a question about title
availability I have referred to Corinne Smith's document: "I Saw
It On TV: A Guide to Broadcast Programming Sources". Each time I
have mentioned the guide I have received follow-up notes from
VideoLib members requesting where others can locate it.
I have found Corinne's guide invaluable in tracking down
distributors of any number of network programs. So for the good
of all on VideoLib, I am posting this information on accessing her
guide.
Before this guide was published, Corinne posted it to the Media-L
listserv about every six months. It was last updated in December,
1994. If you are comfortable using listserv functions and commands
can be retrieved from the Media-L archives for that month. If you
are not already a subscriber to Media-L the address to subscribe is:
listserv@bingvmb.bitnet
subscribe Media-L yourfirstname yourlastname
The guide was published in Volume 1, Number 1 of _College and
University Media Review_, Summer, 1994, pages 25-40.
Finally, it is available through anonymous FTP at two sites:
ftp.cac.psu.edu AND world.std.com
Log on as anonymous and give your e-mail address as the password.
The guide is in the directory:
/pub/tv-networks/broadcast-sources.txt
Hope this answers your questions about accessing "I saw it on TV:
A Guide to Broadcast Programming Sources". Let me know if I can
be of further assistance.
