This seems to be getting tedious. I understand Joel Jones' & the schools'
concerns about violating copyright, but if properly supervised you can
indeed use videos in classes that is what the face to face teaching
exemption is for. Now a lot of grammer & high schools do violate the law
because they use the tapes for entertainment not instruction. I am always
amused here in NYC when a paper "exposes" a school for showing a film they
think too violent or sexually explicit (Terminator, Holloween Etc) No one
ever mentions that the screenings which were clearly intended for
entertainment are illegal. So long as the school authorities insure that
the videos are indeed being used for instruction there is no problem.
