Dave:

I select videos (for the Adult population as opposed to the juvenile
population) for a small, but growing, public library district so this may
or may not be of much help. I consider anything over $50.00 a title to
be beyond my budget range and must purchase accordingly.

I ran a statistical comparison of large orders for 3 consecutive years
and got an actual average of about $35.00/title. Until this fiscal
year we had been spending at lease 1/3 of the budget on feature films
which, of course, cost less than non-fiction titles. This had a definite
impact on the figures.

As I said before, this is for a small-to-medium size public library and
our budget is bound to be smaller than yours. But I hope this helps.

Sincerely,
