Cross posted to Media-L and VideoLib. Apologies for duplication.

A faculty member is interested in tracking down a program that she
heard about being on the Discovery Channel this past summer. She says
it dealt with the treatment of women in India and included (as she
puts it) all the "goodies" - female infanticide; wife burnings, the
much abused dowry sysstem, etc.

I have spoken with Discovery twice; no one there is able to identify
the program from this information. Apparently they are able to search
only by titles, and have no index or cataloging to the contents of
the programs.

We already have in our collection several tapes that cover much of
this same material, including:

Year of the woman (from 60 Minutes)
Conversations with women from the Third World
India : women's rights.
Dadi's family
No longer silent

Any leads on the Discovery title will be appreciated.
