Has anyone made use of Amazon or Netflix streaming video as a video provider
for your institution or are aware of anyone who has. I notice that Amazon is
now making available a number of titles that are being used in various
classes and it would be nice to move away from the DVD reserve offering to
VoD. But, they still appear to be strictly individual subscription based and
probably not terribly interested in the institutional market (or maybe just
too complicated with copyright). If anyone has looked into their services, I
would be very interested in hearing from you.
Thanks.

VIDEOLIB is intended to encourage the broad and lively discussion of issues relating to the selection, evaluation, acquisition, bibliographic control, preservation, and use of current and evolving video formats in libraries and related institutions. It is hoped that the list will serve as an effective working tool for video librarians, as well as a channel of communication between libraries, educational institutions, and video producers and distributors.
