Since the film was funded by the French governement, it is most likely
that the CNC and the SCAM Société Civil des Auteurs Multimedia (The
author's guild in France for everything but fiction films) may have
copies. Sometimes the ministry of foreign affairs cinema office may
also have copies if the film was purchased by them to show at
different Alliance Francaise around the world. I would send a little
email to all three of these institutions. Most of these individuals
working at these institutions speak and understand English in France.
But if you want to make sure your email gets read you can try sending
a very succinct little French email that looks like this:
Bonjour,
Je m'appelle (state your name) ..... je travaille à (state your
distributeur.
Je vous remercie infiniment.
Cordialement,
....

I hope this helps.

VIDEOLIB is intended to encourage the broad and lively discussion of issues relating to the selection, evaluation, acquisition, bibliographic control, preservation, and use of current and evolving video formats in libraries and related institutions. It is hoped that the list will serve as an effective working tool for video librarians, as well as a channel of communication between libraries, educational institutions, and video producers and distributors.
