Dear CW,

Has Michael Moore's Pets or Meat ever been released on DVD? I have a request for it, but have not been able to confirm that has ever been released for sale.

Thank you for your help with this matter.

Does not appear to have ever been released on DVD. You would think it might
have been an extra on ROGER AND ME but no such luck.

Amazon clearly states it has not. As a rule of thumb if you are talking
about a commercial feature film and you don't see it on Amazon ,
OCLC etc than it has not been released. I keep reminding folks there are
literally tens of thousands of titles that were released on VHS that are not
on DVD and many of them never will be. There all sorts of issues of both
rights and commercial viability. As I also mentioned before when as is
common these titles are around in pirate copies and illegal download it
becomes even less likely they will ever get a legal and decent response.
Anyway KEEP those VHS copies unless/until you can replace the title with a
DVD.

Can anyone suggest where I can find a Region 1 or NTSC copy of Youssef Chahine's Al-Massir? I've checked Facets and the Arab film distributors I know about as well as places I sometimes find used video. It was New Yorker... Thanks for any help.

VIDEOLIB is intended to encourage the broad and lively discussion of issues relating to the selection, evaluation, acquisition, bibliographic control, preservation, and use of current and evolving video formats in libraries and related institutions. It is hoped that the list will serve as an effective working tool for video librarians, as well as a channel of communication between libraries, educational institutions, and video producers and distributors.
