We used to do this but gradually decided to not pursue it. It is
probably illegal and it was time-consuming. Most of the CD material is
supplemental, anyway.

Subject: [Videolib] Newbie question/burning copies of CDs for checkout
For books with CDs, can you burn a copy of the CD and put the copy in
the book and keep the master copy so that it cannot be checked out?
Is this legal?
Thanks,

VIDEOLIB is intended to encourage the broad and lively discussion of issues relating to the selection, evaluation, acquisition, bibliographic control, preservation, and use of current and evolving video formats in libraries and related institutions. It is hoped that the list will serve as an effective working tool for video librarians, as well as a channel of communication between libraries, educational institutions, and video producers and distributors.
