[Videolib] DVD player software for cataloging

Would anyone be able to recommend a good multi-region DVD player
software for cataloging? We thought we'd like to continue viewing the
DVDs via our desktops, rather than purchasing multiple players and
finding places to put them. We need something that handles multiple
regions, and preferably has nice variable fastforward capability. We
were using PowerDVD, but it only allows you to switch regions a few
times. AVS has the same limitation. We seem to have a lot of audio
playback issues with RealPlayer and WindowsMedia. We located a few
possible options, but I thought I'd ask the experts.

I'm sending to a couple of lists; please pardon the duplication.

Thanks very much for your help.

VIDEOLIB is intended to encourage the broad and lively discussion of issues relating to the selection, evaluation, acquisition, bibliographic control, preservation, and use of current and evolving video formats in libraries and related institutions. It is hoped that the list will serve as an effective working tool for video librarians, as well as a channel of communication between libraries, educational institutions, and video producers and distributors.
