Hi Marsha,

Look for the series "How to Dance Through Time". Volume 4 of this series instructs on dancing of the Baroque era.

All the best,

Subject: [Videolib] Need dances

I have a patron that wants to show her son a movie that contains one or both of how 2 different dances were danced. She is looking for the minuet and the gavotte. Her son is learning to play J.B. Bach and she wants him to have more of a sense of how the music would create the dance.
I'm not a music scholar! Please help.
It would be best if titles suggested are mostly available in public libraries and not purely academic.
Marsha

VIDEOLIB is intended to encourage the broad and lively discussion of issues relating to the selection, evaluation, acquisition, bibliographic control, preservation, and use of current and evolving video formats in libraries and related institutions. It is hoped that the list will serve as an effective working tool for video librarians, as well as a channel of communication between libraries, educational institutions, and video producers and distributors.
