Thanks, Kathy, but alas, the current Amazon offerings of I Accuse and
J'Accuse have different directors, actors, and storylines.

Hello all,
A professor has asked me to find a source for a 1958 MGM film called "I
Accuse." Jose Ferrer directed and starred in it. (Actually, what she
asked for was "J'Accuse" from the 1950's, with Mel Ferrer. There is no
such beast.)
According to WorldCat, only one library has a VHS tape, and the UCLA
Film & Television Archive has a film. This is a pretty good clue that
there has not been a legitimate DVD release. Would you believe that
Robert's Hard to Find Videos, of Saskatoon, is offering to sell a DVD-R
of this movie in plain packaging for $19.95? My conclusion: I should not
recommend Robert's to our library acquisitions folks as a purchase source!
I found that Swank Motion Pictures has non-theatrical distribution
rights, but they do not have a print.
I think it's not likely that anyone will be able to tell me of a
legitimate source, but I'd be glad to hear from you if you can. Thanks
in advance for any responses.

VIDEOLIB is intended to encourage the broad and lively discussion of issues relating to the selection, evaluation, acquisition, bibliographic control, preservation, and use of current and evolving video formats in libraries and related institutions. It is hoped that the list will serve as an effective working tool for video librarians, as well as a channel of communication between libraries, educational institutions, and video producers and distributors.
