O Wise Ones,
In order to inject some anecdotal flavor into an article I'm writing on the
history of media collections in academic libraries, I am soliciting your
memories of media formats throughout the years. From magnetic tape to MP3s,
it's all fair game.

I'm looking for your personal stories - perhaps as a student, as a faculty
member or library professional. Your input can be humorous or serious as
long as it's related to academic library media collections. Please take a
few moments to share your memories with me directly off-list.
(widz@buffalo.edu) If I use your comments, you will, of course, be properly
cited. Thank you for your responses.

VIDEOLIB is intended to encourage the broad and lively discussion of issues relating to the selection, evaluation, acquisition, bibliographic control, preservation, and use of current and evolving video formats in libraries and related institutions. It is hoped that the list will serve as an effective working tool for video librarians, as well as a channel of communication between libraries, educational institutions, and video producers and distributors.
