Dear academic Video Librarians et al.,
I was wondering if you - media librarians - are common in your state university systems. Are you one of only a few media librarians in the state? Do you have committees that focus on media through your state's library association? Are you on those committees? Do people get together state wide to talk system-wide media policies or collection development and the like? Just wondering.
You can reply off list if you like.

VIDEOLIB is intended to encourage the broad and lively discussion of issues relating to the selection, evaluation, acquisition, bibliographic control, preservation, and use of current and evolving video formats in libraries and related institutions. It is hoped that the list will serve as an effective working tool for video librarians, as well as a channel of communication between libraries, educational institutions, and video producers and distributors.
