Dear Library,

As an ALA Member, I understand the value of our libraries. I also understand
that libraries are often seen (incorrectly) as being behind-the-times. As a
filmmaker, I have been working to bring cutting edge independent films to
libraries, including working with the award-winning Auburn Moon Agency to
add libraries to their booking considerations. Now, with my own multi-award
winning documentary, I wish to do that again.

An American Opera: The Greatest Pet Rescue Ever! is a visceral, operatic
vision of what happened to the pet owners of New Orleans who were forced to
evacuate after Hurricane Katrina without their beloved pets and the
volunteers who came from all over the world to help. America suffered its
worst domestic animal crisis in history when tens of thousands of animals
were left to perish in neighborhoods all across the gulf. This heartfelt
story follows the pets, vets, owners, officials, rescuers, and adopters of
animals as they work through the chaos to do what is right, only to discover
not everyone is working toward the same goal!

You can check out <http://www.anamericanopera.com/> www.AnAmericanOpera.com
for trailers and press kits for An American Opera: The Greatest Pet Rescue
Ever!

I am looking to screen at your library as a one night special event. The
event will feature An American Opera and a filmmaker Q and A. There is an
affordable fee based on a sliding scale depending on how many 'book on
block.'

I hope you will join me in this endeavor to make libraries a safe haven for
independent filmmakers and leaders in independent film distribution by being
a part of the Rescue Party National Tour.

I am looking forward to speaking with you soon. You can contact me through
my Project Development Executive as she is handling our bookings:

VIDEOLIB is intended to encourage the broad and lively discussion of issues relating to the selection, evaluation, acquisition, bibliographic control, preservation, and use of current and evolving video formats in libraries and related institutions. It is hoped that the list will serve as an effective working tool for video librarians, as well as a channel of communication between libraries, educational institutions, and video producers and distributors.
