[Videolib] Shelving for A-V Materials

Vicki Nesting (vnestin@bellsouth.net)

Hi Everyone! I need your help. We are working on a lovely new library building and our interior designers are proposing ugly, non-functional 1970s-style shelving for our audiobooks, DVDs, etc.

Do you have A-V shelving that you are happy with? Please send me pics and/or specifcations off list so I can show the interior designers what we want. I don't think we are terribly demanding; we just want slanted shelving that will accommodate both spine-out and face-out shelving of A-V materials that will serve us well into the future as needs change. I don't think that's too much to ask!

Thanks in advance for your assistance,
Vicki

VIDEOLIB is intended to encourage the broad and lively discussion of issues relating to the selection, evaluation, acquisition, bibliographic control, preservation, and use of current and evolving video formats in libraries and related institutions. It is hoped that the list will serve as an effective working tool for video librarians, as well as a channel of communication between libraries, educational institutions, and video producers and distributors.
