Has anyone ever been to an interesting program or session at a library
conference that specifically addressed media/AV issues? This could be
anything from collection development issues to technical services to
best practices, etc. As a media selector, I am interested in submitting a
conference proposal on some issue regarding media in the library, since I
never seem to find anything like this at major library conferences, but I'd
like to know what other media librarians/selectors are interested in
discussing. If you've never been to a program/session specifically for
media, what kind would you like to attend?

I have some vague ideas, but any input is greatly appreciated.

Thank you,

VIDEOLIB is intended to encourage the broad and lively discussion of issues relating to the selection, evaluation, acquisition, bibliographic control, preservation, and use of current and evolving video formats in libraries and related institutions. It is hoped that the list will serve as an effective working tool for video librarians, as well as a channel of communication between libraries, educational institutions, and video producers and distributors.
