Isn't that called "ripping" a CD? I think they call it that so that you
can remember that it is short for "ripping off." But yeah, there's a way
to do it. Import the CD into iTunes (there by turning each song/track
into an MP4 file) and then drag it onto your ipod. Same with Windows
media player and other MP3 players.

Without copy protection, library owned CDs work just like the CD's you
legally own when you pop them into your computer and import them. No
problem. Well... except for copyright.

VIDEOLIB is intended to encourage the broad and lively discussion of issues relating to the selection, evaluation, acquisition, bibliographic control, preservation, and use of current and evolving video formats in libraries and related institutions. It is hoped that the list will serve as an effective working tool for video librarians, as well as a channel of communication between libraries, educational institutions, and video producers and distributors.
