[Videolib] Over the top eBay censorship

I realize this is only tangentially related to film and not necessarily to
libraries but I figure we are all concerned about censorship and anyway I
need to vent. I usually buy stuff on eBay , basically rare old film stuff
but since I have more than I can handle I have recently listed some stills
for sale.. This morning I got a note from eBay that one of my listings was
ended for being "HATEFUL" and forbidden. What was this horrible thing. A
still from the 1943 film THE HITLER GANG featuring the actor Martin Kosleck
at Joesef Goebbels. It was basically as photo of Kosleck in Nazi uniform.
The film of course is ANTI-Nazi and Kosleck virtually cornered the market on
playing Nazis in WW2 films. As far as I can tell there is no way to explain
to eBay that I am NOT selling some pro- Nazi memorabilia. They just remove
and you basically can't contact them. Keep in mind eBay sells trashy soft
core porn Nazi films on DVD but not this still. Under this version a photo
Of Liam Neeson and Schindler should also be banned if it one that showed
him in the Nazi uniform he wore in the film

I have no idea who to report this senseless piece of censorship to but like
I said I wanted to share

VIDEOLIB is intended to encourage the broad and lively discussion of issues relating to the selection, evaluation, acquisition, bibliographic control, preservation, and use of current and evolving video formats in libraries and related institutions. It is hoped that the list will serve as an effective working tool for video librarians, as well as a channel of communication between libraries, educational institutions, and video producers and distributors.
