As recently as Feb. 2006, I was able to rent a 16mm print of /Flaming
Creatures/ from Canyon Cinema, to show in a course here. It's still
listed on their website, with a rental price of $125 + shipping.

Go to http://www.canyoncinema.com/contents.html. Click on Films For
Rent, then scroll down to Smith, Jack. Or call them at 415-626-2255.

Does anyone have any ideas or leads on how I can get a copy of Jack Smith's 1963 film Flaming Creatures? It was at one time distributed by Franklin Media on VHS, and there seem to be several copies around in libraries, but I can't seem to find a current source.
Any suggestions much appreciated! It's needed for a course here at Dartmouth.

VIDEOLIB is intended to encourage the broad and lively discussion of issues relating to the selection, evaluation, acquisition, bibliographic control, preservation, and use of current and evolving video formats in libraries and related institutions. It is hoped that the list will serve as an effective working tool for video librarians, as well as a channel of communication between libraries, educational institutions, and video producers and distributors.
