I, personally, do not work with this type of medium, so my question is
merely out of curiosity. If someone wanted materials from the National
Archives and Records Administration, would you have to buy it? What
videos are housed there?...in what format?...what use?...what rights to
it?...etc...

"....The National Archives and Records Administration announced
yesterday that it has reached a non-exclusive agreement with Amazon.com
and one of its subsidiaries to reproduce and sell to the public copies
of thousands of historic films and videotapes in the Archives'
holdings...."

VIDEOLIB is intended to encourage the broad and lively discussion of
issues relating to the selection, evaluation, acquisition, bibliographic
control, preservation, and use of current and evolving video formats in
libraries and related institutions. It is hoped that the list will serve
as an effective working tool for video librarians, as well as a channel
of communication between libraries, educational institutions, and video
producers and distributors.
