Barbara,

We purchased this series (Basic Computers, E-mail for Beginners, & Internet for Beginners) of DVDs for our collection, and they have been very well received. I solicited feedback from several users who sought resources that were aimed at the true beginner, and I don't recall anyone who felt these titles were not helpful.

Does anyone have any experience with a series of computer instruction books/videos aimed at the senior market called Web Wise Seniors. Their online store is as http://webwiseseniors.com/Videos.asp. One of my libraries is considering purchasing their materials, but can't locate any reviews or relevant information as to the usefulness of the products.

Thanks,

VIDEOLIB is intended to encourage the broad and lively discussion of issues relating to the selection, evaluation, acquisition, bibliographic control, preservation, and use of current and evolving video formats in libraries and related institutions. It is hoped that the list will serve as an effective working tool for video librarians, as well as a channel of communication between libraries, educational institutions, and video producers and distributors.
