Hello all,

I have created a wiki called Multimedia Librarian (
http://requests.wikia.com/wiki/Multimedialibrarian). Its purpose is
multidisciplinary, and it will be geared toward those with an interest in
non-print resources.

It is currently in the "Request" stage at Wikia.com <http://wikia.com/>,
which means that until established, it is in limbo and cannot be populated.
When you visit the site, what you will see is the outline for the wiki. The
more interest generated, the better chance the venture will be permanent.

Please have a look at the preliminaries, and if you have any comments,
questions, or contributions, please don't hesitate to post them in the
"Comments from the community" section at the bottom of the wiki page, or
email me via the "Email" link in the "Main details" section .

VIDEOLIB is intended to encourage the broad and lively discussion of issues relating to the selection, evaluation, acquisition, bibliographic control, preservation, and use of current and evolving video formats in libraries and related institutions. It is hoped that the list will serve as an effective working tool for video librarians, as well as a channel of communication between libraries, educational institutions, and video producers and distributors.
