Hi, everyone,

I was wondering how you all deal with box sets that have one disc that's
damaged, but the others are fine. This wouldn't be a feature film, or
television, but more often nonfiction, such as a title like America's
Most Scenic Drives, where there really isn't a narrative connection from
disc to disc. If you can't replace the disc, do you just list that one
as missing, and circulate the rest, or do you withdraw the entire title,
and replace it. Thanks.

VIDEOLIB is intended to encourage the broad and lively discussion of issues relating to the selection, evaluation, acquisition, bibliographic control, preservation, and use of current and evolving video formats in libraries and related institutions. It is hoped that the list will serve as an effective working tool for video librarians, as well as a channel of communication between libraries, educational institutions, and video producers and distributors.
