If nothing else I'd be interested in meeting once (or twice) a year dur=

ALA conferences to compare notes on where our institutions are in terms=

not much for formal meetings and structure and would just as soon
informally meet for lunch or dinner.

I've been meaning to ask this question for ages, and now, on the eve of=
ALA, it seems like a good time...
Does VRT or the videolib community include any kind of a 'digital video=
interest group' or 'digital initiatives sub-committee' or some such
entity?=A0 If so, could someone tell me how to join?=A0 If not, would a=
nyone be
interested in participating in such a group?=A0 =A0The discussions on v=
ideolib
regarding technical specs, delivery environments, digital asset managem=
ent,
tools and techniques are fascinating, but I would love to be able to si=
t
down with like-minded colleagues at ALA or other venues and
discuss=A0targeted topics, perhaps even to define a library research ag=
enda
for digital video. =A0 =A0I'm also an AMIA member, and that group does =
have a
large and flourishing digital initiatives committee, but I seem to be o=
ne
of the few media librarian-types in that group, and I'd welcome the cha=
nce
to have these discussions in a library as well as an archival setting.
So...if there's already such an interest group, where do I sign up?=A0 =
If
not, would anyone like to help me start one, or be interested in
participating in any capacity?
