Dear Liz: We have a title, COCAINE TRUE, COCAINE BLUE
<http://frif.com/cat97/k-o/mecocain.html> , which may be of interest to you.

COCAINE TRUE, COCAINE BLUE <http://frif.com/cat97/k-o/mecocain.html>
This candid video directed by Eugene Richards takes an intimate look at
Danny, his girlfriend, Kathy and their violent relationship, his friend,
Peanut, who escaped a run-in with a pusher and has a bullet-hole to prove
it. An astonishing portrait of desperation, hopelessness, and the addicts'
unraveled lives.

The film was also part of a curated collection of health videos of the
now-defunct Library Media Project. Their list of titles is still available
to browse here
<http://librarymedia.org/health/Health_main.html#Healthtopics> .

Subject: [Videolib] health ed vids?

I'm looking for short videos on substance abuse and sex ed for young college
students taking health courses I'm having a bit of trouble finding anything
that doesn't seem to be geared toward a bit younger audience, mainly toward
the "teen" demographic. Does anyone happen to know any titles in these areas
that aren't too preachy or eye-roll inducing?

Thanks!

Liz

VIDEOLIB is intended to encourage the broad and lively discussion of issues relating to the selection, evaluation, acquisition, bibliographic control, preservation, and use of current and evolving video formats in libraries and related institutions. It is hoped that the list will serve as an effective working tool for video librarians, as well as a channel of communication between libraries, educational institutions, and video producers and distributors.
