I see your point. I suspect these are amateur efforts, which may=20
not be a violation of copyright for personal use, but shouldn' t be given=20
public display or be used in lieu of a commercial product.

Can anyone comment on the legality of these sorts of things? One needs=20
approval of the copyright owner to translate a work (and to then=20
distribute it in this way). Does anyone know if these sites have the=20
approval of copyright owners for the titles that are represented?

VIDEOLIB is intended to encourage the broad and lively discussion of issues relating to the selection, evaluation, acquisition,bibliographic control, preservation, and use of current and evolving video formats in libraries and related institutions. It is hoped that the list will serve as an effective working tool for video librarians, as well as a channel of communication between libraries,educational institutions, and video producers and distributors.
