We still have vhs. In fact, at our main library, vhs circulation went
up something like 5-10% last year. That's after weeding heavily to make
more room for DVDs. Plus, over half of our vhs titles are nonfiction.
As far as av goes, last year, our circulation for av in our department
alone went up 48.5%! That's vhs, dvd, cd, cd-rom and audiobooks on cd
and ct.

VIDEOLIB is intended to encourage the broad and lively discussion of issues relating to the selection, evaluation, acquisition, bibliographic control, preservation, and use of current and evolving video formats in libraries and related institutions. It is hoped that the list will serve as an effective working tool for video librarians, as well as a channel of communication between libraries, educational institutions, and video producers and distributors.
