It looks great if the file is on your own computer. But another distant
server the synch will start to slide after about 15 minutes, depending on
the size of the file. We stream all the time from my department because we
are responsible for distance education. Windows Media Files work best
overall. Anyway, you can do what you end up preferring. I'm just relating
what has worked best for us.

VIDEOLIB is intended to encourage the broad and lively discussion of issues relating to the selection, evaluation, acquisition, bibliographic control, preservation, and use of current and evolving video formats in libraries and related institutions. It is hoped that the list will serve as an effective working tool for video librarians, as well as a channel of communication between libraries, educational institutions, and video producers and distributors.
