Hello Everyone,

As co-chair of the ACRL Media Resources Group, I would like to invite you to
talk about media cataloging issues at the ALA Midwinter Conference in Seattle.
In particular, we will discuss cataloging film, video, and television genres, as
well as noting public performance rights in catalog records. Several media
catalogers will present their local practices. This forum will be relevant and
interesting to any librarian who works with media.

Where: Crowne Plaza Hotel, Parkside Room
When: Sunday, 1/21/2007, 10:30 AM - 12:30 PM

VIDEOLIB is intended to encourage the broad and lively discussion of issues relating to the selection, evaluation, acquisition, bibliographic control, preservation, and use of current and evolving video formats in libraries and related institutions. It is hoped that the list will serve as an effective working tool for video librarians, as well as a channel of communication between libraries, educational institutions, and video producers and distributors.
