The SURA ViDe 2007 conference will bring together innovators in higher=20
education, telemedicine and K12 to focus on converged collaboration,=20

mobile environments, with an emphasis on both success stories and=20
caveats in merging all the technologies into an integrated, seamless and=20
ubiquitous information ecosystem.

Consortium,Austin, Texas, an international consortium of more than 200=20
universities,colleges, museums, research centers, and technology=20
companies dedicated to using new technologies to inspire, energize,=20
stimulate, and support learning and creative expression.
The ViDe 2007 Conference is soliciting presentations on cutting edge=20
strategies for converging media: videoconferencing, streaming video,=20
Voice over IP, collaboration technologies, and new media applications=20
in higher education, K12, medicine and research. Presentations on any=20
technologies, innovative practices or important issues with digital=20
video and converging communication technologies are welcomed, but=20

VIDEOLIB is intended to encourage the broad and lively discussion of issues relating to the selection, evaluation, acquisition,bibliographic control, preservation, and use of current and evolving video formats in libraries and related institutions. It is hoped that the list will serve as an effective working tool for video librarians, as well as a channel of communication between libraries,educational institutions, and video producers and distributors.
