Though it's not a comprehensive film on the history of Native Americans, the
Frameline documentary TWO-SPIRIT PEOPLE
(http://cart.frameline.org/ProductDetails.asp?ProductCode=T336 )
Is an overview of historical and contemporary Native American concepts of
gender, sexuality and sexual orientation. This documentary explores the
berdache tradition in Native American culture, in which individuals who
embody feminine and masculine qualities act as a conduit between the
physical and spiritual world, and because of this are placed in positions of
power within the community.

VIDEOLIB is intended to encourage the broad and lively discussion of issues relating to the selection, evaluation, acquisition, bibliographic control, preservation, and use of current and evolving video formats in libraries and related institutions. It is hoped that the list will serve as an effective working tool for video librarians, as well as a channel of communication between libraries, educational institutions, and video producers and distributors.
