I apologize if this question has been asked before...

We have a few archaic media formats we are looking to weed from our
collection. Specifically, they are our motion picture, phonograph,
slide and audio cassette collections. If you have "liberated" any of
these formats from your holdings were you able to find a "beneficiary"?
If so could you give us information as to who might be interested and
how it was accomplished, especially regarding the motion picture and
phonograph collections? We have approximately 900 titles in our motion
picture collection and 1200 in our phonograph collection.

VIDEOLIB is intended to encourage the broad and lively discussion of issues relating to the selection, evaluation, acquisition,bibliographic control, preservation, and use of current and evolving video formats in libraries and related institutions.
